DIY Fairy Kei Painted Sneakers


Hi everyone~
I've been extremely interested in making fairy kei themed accessories lately ^^. The style is extremely DIY-able, so of course I found myself tempted to experiment. This isn't really a tutorial...more like an incomplete photo narration of this project ><

I was inspired by these pictures, and my design was like a combination of the two:



Okay!


You will need:
  • Plain canvas sneakers
  • Paintbrushes
  • Fabric paint


Start by painting the shoes in your desired base colors.


After the initial layer of paint has dried, begin painting your design.










.....I had no idea how to be more specific about this tutorial, so...sorry ^^
I plan on making a few more tutorials like this wherein I am more specific.

    Late comment is late, but I love what you did to the sneakers! ^^ They are easy to DIY and the best part about them is that you can find the plain sneakers just about anywhere! :D

      This is actually my favorite tutorial I've ever made on my blog (with the exception of handbags) because I actually wear them ><
      I want to buy several pairs to decorate ^^. It was actually a lot of fun~

    So cute and creative! (*^o^*) I have a friend that does DIY sneakers as well. She favors cute Cyclopes designs; she even made a pair with gum holsters! Between your shoe design and hers, I've got to design some myself! (^^)
